Patricia Reed is an artist and writer. She has participated in the research and residency programs at CCA Kitakyushu (JP); FCCA Prague (CZ); Akademie Schloss Solitude (DE); Banff Centre (CA) and AIR Laboratory Warsaw (PL). Exhibitions have included those at the Witte de With (NL); Haus der Kulturen der Welt (DE); Kunsthaus Langenthal (CH); Württembergische Kunstverein (DE); Audain Gallery (CA); and 0047 (NO), amongst others. As a writer she has contributed to several books and periodicals including: #ACCELERATE – The Accelerationist Reader (Urbanomic); The Psychopathologies of Cognitive Capitalism Vol. II (Archive Books); Mould Magazine (Issue on Cultures of Assembly); Material #4; Who Told You So?! (Onomatopee); A Joy Forever (in Polish, Bec Zmiana) Institutions By Artists (Fillip: Folio); Intangible Economies (Fillip: Folio); Cognitive Architecture (010); Critical Spatial Practice (Sternberg); Waking up from the Nightmare of Participation (Expodium); C Magazine; Fillip, Art Papers, Shifter, continent and Framework. Lectures have included those at Tate Britain (UK, Speculative Tate, forthcoming); University of Westminster (UK); Dampfzentrale (CH); Artists Space (US); MIT (US); abc Berlin (DE); Archive Kabinett (DE); University of Waterloo (CA); and The Winter School Middle East (KW). Reed plays host to the Inclinations Lecture series at Or Gallery in Berlin, where she also lives and is on the Board of Directors for The New Centre for Research & Practice.
